My Second First Day of Summer

Today is like the beginning of a second summer vacation.

Maelle and I slept in, and I spent the morning picking cherries on a tall ladder.
I really love those cherries! There are four types-white, dark red, black, and this other type that is really really bright red and tart.
Right now, we have all been picking them like crazy because they are almost past there prime. I guess I am going to have to find other ways to get my fruit fix..

Europa park was absolutely fantastic. Génial, Super, Magnifique, Trop Bon.
It is a theme park based around a lot of European countries. Each part of the park is designed in accordance. I am talking the food, the rides, the music, the buildings, the souvenirs, everything.
The best part was the roller-coasters.
For those of you reading this that don't know, I am a roller-coaster fanatic, i.e. this was the place for me.
Europa Park houses Europeés fastest roller coaster, Silver Star, which goes up to 73m in the air at a speed of 130 km/hr.
I literally felt like I was flying through space with no mass at all. It was like I forgot I even had a stomach because it had jumped so far up my throat.
Oh. My. Goodness.

Wednesday was the last day of school. We went to a pool party that night at one of Maelle's friends house, which was really fun. However, I have to say that trying to understand a gaggle of girls shouting expedient French to eachother was a challenge.
But, smiles are contagious and it doesn't take much brain power to figure out how to play catch.
:)

After lunch today, I think Maelle and I are going to ride our bikes into Colmar to see her horse, and currently I am just enjoying relaxing to chirping birds.
perpetual summer.

I realized that I have a problem.
I have started to think it is excessively hot when it is only 30° C... and I normally live in a place that is 40°.
It is going to be very interesting to come back to a place where the sun is not so friendly, where instead of lightening up your day, it melts roads and cooks eggs.
great.
